Crowns are restorations used to strengthen a tooth that has lost large areas of tooth structure due to fracture, wear, decay or failure of large fillings.  They are made of strong ceramic materials that appear very natural and are bonded to your remaining tooth structure.  In our office we will retain as much natural tooth as possible, so the zone where the crown meets the enamel will be above the gum line whenever possible.

At Puyallup Valley Dental Care, many of our crowns are fabricated in our office and delivered the same day using CEREC technology.

We also partner with a top quality dental laboratory to fabricate crowns in some situations, especially when multiple teeth are being treated at the same time, to restore some implants and when provisional crowns are used to confirm size and shape of teeth in the esthetic zone.
